opening page iss. 2 preview

a text page with a spot illo for establishment. ive toyed with using these type of pages for the first page for a while but it was pointed out to me that it was a little like the scrolling in star wars and i decided to move it to the inside front cover instead. the idea was to give historical context to the story, so i didnt want to ditch it entirely.however the book can be read without the history lesson and still be enjoyed.

so now you get a spot illo to give a sense of location ...

done on bainbridge no. 80 illo board. scetched with non- photo blue pencil and inked with sumi inks and a no. 4 windsor newton sceptre gold brush. any questions?
